Blätter, Blätter... und noch mehr Blätter

Hallo,

*schmunzel*
... today we're going to continue with Family Magictree... and I can tell you: Never did a headline (Leaves, leaves... and even more leaves) fit better than this! O yes... Birgit had to make loads of leaves for her tree family... plenty of leaves... and then even much more leaves. And whenever Birgit was thinking by herself "Well... maybe this will be enough now"... see, after glueing them in place it showed up at once that this was once more the famous drop on the well-known hot stone. *smile*

So Birgit continued to make more leaves... and then even more leaves. And this isn't only about the mere quantity... also from the point of quality this was quite challenging because every single leaf needed many working steps until it could finally be glued in place. I'm going to show this to you:

It all starts with punching the leaves - Birgit is lucky to own a leaf punch in two different sizes. Then the leaf veins have to be drawn and afterwards the leaf is dyed completely - of course on both sides...

... and after punching/shaping it's finally done and ready to be glued onto the tree - as you can see at this picture showing the beginnings of Daddy Magictree:

And so Birgit has spent many weeks with making more and more and yet more leaves... but all of a sudden... yes, somewhen Birgit has decided that this amount of leaves will do. And you know it... when it comes to decisions like these Birgit is the boss around here... *LOL* So I may now introduce you to the finished Family Magictree!

Ladies first! Also... pssssssst...)
But of course I'm going to introduce every family member now on its own. And being the well-known gentlebear from top to toe that I am I'm going to start with Mama Magictree of course. Ladies first! (But first of some piece of advice... please come a little closer... I need to talk in a low voice... *whisper* Please - no comments about Mama Magictree's nose!!! She's quite touchy about this... and believe me: You really don't want to make a magical tree get angry about you! So... shhhhhhh...)

*schmunzel*
A true tree beauty - and her name is Blossom... no surprise Daddy Magictree is crazy for her... *smile*

Und hier kommt der Junior!
And here comes Junior!

Ein wirklich lustiger kleiner Kerl!
He's one funny little chap for sure!

Und damit kommen wir zum Familienoberhaupt - Barks!
And now we come to the head of the family - Barks!

As you can see I would have no problems getting shade from Daddy Magictree on hot days...

*grins*
Seems to be up to fashion with his 3-days-beard... *grin*

Was für ein schönes Paar! Bis dass die Axt uns scheidet... *kicher*
What a lovely couple! Until the axe do us part... *giggle*

Barks: *seufz*
Junior: When I'm grown I want to have a tree house...
Barks: *sigh*

Blossom: Halt Dich gerade, mein Sohn...
Junior: *seufz*
Blossom: Stand straight, son... You don't want to suffer from tree disc herniation when you're grown...
Junior: *sigh*

And at the end once more a family portrait - all say "Leeeaaaaaves" please!!!

Btw I can already tell you this - although Family Magictree is now finished - but Birgit is not yet through with making leaves, no way... She had no chance at all to get out of practise - but why she needed even more leaves... ehm... many more leaves... well... this I'm going to show you another time! ;O)

Liebe Grüße / Hugs
Flutterby

But making that number of leaves, no, that's not much fun, I know ;D! You've done great work with a beautiful result!

Birgit has patiently done a great job on this magical tree family. I'm sure, being kind as Birgit is, she'll secretly give mama a nose job. Can't wait to learn what all those additional leaves are for.Hugs, Drora
