Willkommen im Juni

Hallo,

... and it happened once more... another month passed by and all of a sudden we're finding ourselves in June now... Where did May go to??? But okay, it's the beginning of the month and that means a gentlebeary has to do what a gentlebeary has to do... that's why I've helped my Birgit as usual with the update of her calendars. Let's have a look what June is offering us... a photo of a nice place to rest in a garden, not bad... and a saying sadly without an author being mentioned (as always I'm not going to quote but try to say it in my own poor English), he said it doesn't need wealth, only fantasy, to turn every day into a piece of art.

Whoever wrote this nice thought down had no reason at all to stay anonymous... *smile* Friedrich Schiller once said fantasy is an everlasting spring. And Henry Ward Beecher said a soul without fantasy is like an observatory without a telescope. Please have a look through your fantasy-telescope now... do you have an idea how to show happiness in a photo? Well, at the end of this post we are going to try to visualize this... But before I'm showing you a little craft-along by Birgit. You know Birgit loves to try something new and since some time she had thought about trying to flock an animal. Two candidates took part in Birgit's test run - a small donkey and a Shetland Pony foal, both by Schleich.

If you're looking veeeeery close you'd recognize that Birgit had already started with flocking the donkey. At this picture you can see the difference quite well:

Fertig sehen die Beiden dann so aus:
In the end the two looked like this:

Rosey and I really like these two chaps...

But Rosey is exaggerating... she would love to have the foal staying with her and to keep it in her garden.

I'm going to use a nice and cozy "Kaffeeklatsch" in Flower Cottage to make sure that the brain of my little sis' will switch back from the "What a cuuuuuuteeeeeeeee"- to the good sense-mode again (whatever this might mean in Rosey's case... *teehee* Ooops... in the background Birgit is now looking fiercely at me... *tweet*). Anyhow you can not and should not keep a pony in a garden... and Rosey is going to understand this as soon as I reminded her after the first mug of coffee and the first cupcake.

And - did you discover her? The beautiful rose - a gift from Ilona - got a place of honor at Rosey's terrace. And speaking of "Kaffeeklatsch"... before his departure our Fudge was of course invited to the traditional goodbye-"Kaffeeklatsch" at Strawberry Cottage.

In the meantime he arrived safe and sound at his new home and is totally happy there... and now we can tell you that he moved to Nina and to Riverside. And who knows, maybe someday there's an adventure waiting for him and little Jemima... "The mystery of the disappearing candy" or something in that style... *LOL* And speaking about mystery... I still have to give you the answer to our question about how happiness can be shown in a photo. Well, we tried to show it this way:

No surprise at all, isn't it??? *grin* Oh my... June is not only the month of roses but also the strawberry month... sweet, red, juicy aromatic strawberries *sigh* Well, according to me this is pure happiness! We're wishing to all of you a great June filled with fantasy and many moments of happiness! ;O)

Liebe Grüße / Hugs
Flutterby

Well, What a lot there is to mention today!!! Let me see.... Spring, Fantasy, Art, Ponies, Furry Cuuuuttee Pony and Donkey!, Strawberries, Roses, Kaffeeklatches, Fudge.... and Endless Creative Fantasy Crafting by Birgit!!! Whew, did I miss anything? LOL! As usual, Fluby, you have given us a wonderful tour of the new calendar pages, with Fantastic sayings to feed our Art-filled Spring (almost Summer) Days! And then the introduction of the Donkey and Pony with their new fur coats... Birgit will need to give them names now! :) I also have trying to do flocking on my "Someday-to-try" list.... so I will be looking closely at Birgit's versions before I ever get going on my own! And it is almost Strawberry season over here too... I say "almost" because we had such a cool spell all of May that many of the plants slowed their growth and just are not ready yet! But it will catch up soon... and the markets already have the ones imported from the South.... so we are not deprived. Meanwhile... just looking at the picture of You on the Strawberry basket is a Fantasy of Happiness all by itself!!!

The donkey and foal turned out beautiful! Excellent first try. The strawberries look so delicious and that is a happy thought. I have green strawberries so we will be having them soon, I wish there wasn't so much gardening so I could lay in that hammock!

LG, Nina & Fudge

Hallo liebe Freunde!!! Well, you have a lot to show, Fluby, thank you for translating the wonderful saying into English! But first of all: Happy June to all of you.....although one week is already gone ;)!! I know that I'm late, but I'll tell Birgit personally (in one of the coming days) what caused this delay ;)!!
I think that the flock work on the donkey and the foal is fantastic, Birgit has done lovely work. I can imagine why Rosey would love to have the adorable foal into her own garden. But I also think that Fluby is right: a foal doesn't belong in a garden. I think that the rose has found a wonderful spot there on the garden table, enjoy, dear Rosey.
It is already strawberry season over here too, so lots of joy for Fluby too ;)!
Enjoy this wonderful time/season of the year, dear friends.
